Brief
Raise awareness about upcoming No-Kings protest in the Boyle Heights and East LA area. Counter a lot of the existing, unproductive signage placed all around town.
Increased ICE budget that will disproportionately target Latino communities. Not a lot of people had taken the threat seriously prior to the administration deploying the National Guard in Los Angeles.

I designed and spread these posters in LA regarding Trump’s increase in ICE budget to increase awareness about the at the time upcoming No Kings protests.
Get out to vote campaigns / canvassing efforts are associated with annoyance and inconvenience. These posters aim to embolden the community to feel a sense of righteousness to want to voice their concerns and were used to promote the No Kings protests later in the year.
After attending a protest and noticing the lack of coverage, I saw an opportunity to help raise awareness of upcoming protests developed by local activists.
I created these posters to spread awareness about the upcoming No Kings protests, and to shed light on the impact of the ICE budget increase on the East Los Angeles community.
Inspired future protests and ignited a brighter sense of solidarity. The No Kings protests that came after had much broader participation. While the original protest I went to was organized by the Brown Berets, the proceeding No Kings protests welcomed a much more liberal crowd.
